Hanging wall art can be so easy when you are working with one or two pieces, however when multiple pieces are involved there are some guidelines to help get it right. Just placing several framed objects in a row straight across might work, but chances are in most cases, something more interesting would be preferable visually. Not to mention, having a plan of action prior to hammering in any nails is also smart.
We advise you to trace the outline of each picture onto construction paper, and then cut it out. Lay these mock frames out in several different arrangements on the floor to see what looks best. Once you have identified what you like, measure the distance between the items and then tape the mocks to the wall. Once the faux pictures are on the wall you can confirm that it looks the way you want it to. Otherwise, you are just winging it, and that can have real repercussions. In pencil, lightly mark the corners of the construction paper frames, and remove them. Now you are ready to actually place the nails and do the hanging.
