The Best Way to Repurpose Your Old Kitchen Island

Posted by: admin In: Best Style

Repurposing furniture is all the craze, and for great reason. One of the very best ideas we have come across is that of the kitchen island. Not the kind that are cemented permanently into the kitchen floor, but the ones that are free standing, either with or without wheels.

So what can you do with this piece that is so inventive, make it a  baby changing table of course. The height of these items is perfect, and not too massive in size as to overpower a nursery. If you are lucky enough to have one that has storage built in then you have really hit the jackpot, because you will want those diapers, powders and other necessities within reach.

In addition, should you be the proud owner of ne of the islands that have wheels, the kind that lock in place of course, as the others could prove a safety hazard, you will love this tid bit. As the baby gets more active, you can wheel the island  to other locations in order to make room for playtime.  When the time for changing has passed, then this wonder item can be rolled into its next repurposing role.
